HOW MUCH STUFFING IS STUFFING TOO MUCH?

Our new bunny filling arrived today. We have graduated from buying one bag, at the local fabric shop, to three bags to 1kg from ebay to ....... 10kg of bunny innards!
It arrived just a minute ago.

Pretty big, huh? And heavy too. So we opened it.

Wooooooof! Look what it did! Like when you add sulphuric acid to sugar. (Son No.1 is into this at the moment). Everytime we touch it is gets higher and higher, so we've stopped er ....touching it. Now the problem is this: more and more people are buying bunnies and the stock needed is getting bigger and bigger. Boxes of boxes, 12' high bags of filling, 200 socks waiting to be bunnified. The Bunny Makers room is JUST NOT BIG ENOUGH. The bunnies are offering to build an extension out of old copies of Country Life (Murky and Issabow are using them to house hunt and I haven't the heart to tell them that they won't have enough money for any of them).

But, aside from all this these questions have popped into the Bunny Makers head this morning:

1. Just how many bunnies will all that stuffing make?
2. How high will it get if we 'touch it' again?
3. How scary will it be to realise that I have used up ALL that stuffing?
4. Would it be more amusing if it was pink?
5. Will a nice, strong, hot cup of coffee help?

UPDATES FROM LITTLE SPOTTY AND CO.

The Warren is always very happy to hear from their friends in Holland, Tessa and Little Spotty. A while ago Maureen Sockbunny travelled to live with them ....

Hello

A while ago Maureen arrived in Sheidam.
They're as happy as bunnies can be.
Both of them are hopping around the house
Little Spotty and Maureen both typed an email to you and the other bunnies
They also wanted me to send some pictures with this email.
So I did!
Greetings
Tessa

Hello Bunnies,
A while ago the mailman delivered a package from the U.K.
As a as curious I was, I hopped around the package hoping that Tessa will open it.
And she did.
She slowly opened the package and then, a sockbunny hopped out!
It was Maureen!
Tessa bought her as a present for me, so that I have a bunny friend.
Maureen and I, we immediately hopped around the house looking for Tuc Sandwich biscuits.
Greetings,
Little Spotty

Hello little bunny friends of mine,

As my new friend already e-mailed, I'm living in Holland now with Little Spotty and a her nice friends.
I was very happy when the travelbox was opened.
Immediately I hopped out of the box and saw Little Spotty. I was very happy to see a bunny.
The long journey made me very hungry, so we hopped around the house looking for Tuc Sandwich biscuits. "But there aren't any Tuc Sandwich biscuits", said Tessa.
I think she hid them from me! So, when she leaves the house, I'm going to sneak around looking for some Tuc Sandwich biscuits.
Lots of love,
Maureen

Do you need a Norwegian Lurgle?

Well, out from the Sock Toy kit from Hotdogandme a Norwegian Lurgle was born....

These are funny little creatures, designed to clean up after biscuit eating. Usually only found lurking at the edges of Fjords this one seems to have left it's native habitat probably due to the Great Norwegian Biscuit Crisis. In case you are wondering if those are teeth, or tongues you'd be wrong. They are 'sweepers' and perfectly adapted for clearing up crumbs.

He is annoying the bunnies at The Warren with his tickly biscuit sweepers so has been put for sale in the Crafteroo Children In Need shop on Folksy to raise money for the charity.
Do you need any help around the house?

LOOK WHAT CAME TODAY!

The postman just came bearing parcels full of wonderful goodies.

HotdogandMe had sent us a sock toy making kit! The idea is to make something and put it up for sale into the Crafteroo Children In Need shop on Folksy to raise money for the charity. We are not going to make a Widget-style bunny because the kit contains exciting bags of buttons and felt.

Murky and Issabow are hoping we make a Meerkat baby for them so I'll have to have a little 'life talk' with them - ahem.
Also to be opened was a heavy box from Moo.com. We are all blown away by the way you can pick your designs from the Moo designers pages and make them into cards, stickers etc. The bunnies chose 25 designs for cards to keep them going throughout the year. You can even put a different message inside each card. Awesome.
This is not a very good picture of them as all the bunnies were spreading them out and kept slipping off the table and generally being a bit silly.

It cost £20.99 for 25 cards - under £1 each - much cheaper than the shops and with original designs that you don't see everywhere. (How bored are we of Phoenix cards?). Gotta love that penguin!

Also from Moo ..... dun dun duuuuun .... Widget's Christmas cards!! He was so over-excited that he kept skidding on them and slipping off the table.

Moo have been very impressive so far - these cards came within the week and are really nice quality. I used their Minis to make labels for my Half an Acre wooden stuff ..
If anyone has seen my ball of red and white baker's twine (used for the string in the pic) please could they let me know! I bought if from Flurogoddess on Folksy and it came on a cute wooden peg but I can't find it anywhere! I use it ALL the time and it's gone under a pile of paper somewhere and is nowhere to be found.

From next week you will be able to buy one of Widget's cards and a christmas carrot from the shop on Folksy and have it sent to the person of your choice. Very cute if you sent someone a sockbunny earlier this year.

THE GARDEN OF EDEN

Widget has been a busy bunny over the last two weeks! He has been off to Cornwall and had a very exciting visit to The Eden Project. Murky and Issabow came too as they wanted to see what sort of houses were on the market down there.
Murky found it amusing to scuttle around exclaiming "What murky weather we are having today!" and Issabow just snuggled deeper into her purple, fluffy scarf. There were lots of people about and it was a bit dangerous for such small creatures on the pathways!

Widget found lots of good spots in which to have his photo taken!
It was pretty warm inside the main Biome and he almost had to take his scarf off! I've been trying to get it off him for ages because, between you and me, if needs a darned good wash.

He got into a bit of a tight spot in the Mediterranean Biome.

The Bunny Maker's boys got busy in the halloween themed tent, making spells and putting their hands into slimy, dark places ....

There were lots of amazing things to see such as the giant junk man and The Nutcracker which illustrates just how much energy has to go into processing something as small as a hazelnut.

Everyone agreed that they would like one of the below very much but couldn't seem to find one in the gift shop. Perhaps they had sold out.

THE MARVELOUS BUNNY MEADOW GOES OUT

The festive season has started. It has. Because I say so. Today was the first of the 'physical sales' and the Marvelous Bunny Meadow was dusted off and laid out for the first time since the summer.

It was a very busy event - lots and lots of bunnyless people - and quite a few bunnies went off to new homes. The first of the Sock Snakes came along ..... he looked after the promo cards for me.

I don't who's idea it was to let the snakes in but it seems that they are here to stay. Oh well. This one was of the Green-tongued variety. A very tickley green tongue too. I did feel a bit of a wrench when he was bought, I nearly said 'He's not for sale' but I managed to let go.
I am still a bit sad.
Watch out for snakes in store soon!
Widget also came along .... I told him not to sit down there with the bunnies or someone would snap him up in no time!

Can you spot him?

The Arrival of The Softies

There was a little knock at The Warren door this morning and I was hit by a blast of freezing air as I opened it a little crack to peer out into the chilly morning. Nothing there.

"We're down here!" said a little voice
Sitting by the logs in the porch were two bunnies. The first of The Softies had arrived!

It is a true sign of winter when they start to turn up at the door. They are all desperate to get into the shop for Christmas and these two are there right now! HERE!

What has happened to the Meerkats?

That is a good question indeed! Murky and Issabow have been on their honeymoon! Things have been moving along at such a pace in their lives. The day after Isabow arrived Murky proposed and they were married the very next day! Nifty Knits must be so proud!

Murky has been carrying Issabow's bag and "Ladies shouldn't carry things" and when its a bit on the cold side they put her lovely scarf around their shoulders and snuggle up.
They are now house hunting so we will keep you all updated!

Fame for Gardener Bunny!

A first! One of the bunnies, who left The Warren as few weeks ago, has gone on to achieve fame all on her little own-some. Gardener Bunny went to live with Biddle Bear and now has her own web page! HERE

There is a whole gallery of pictures showing her with Biddle (who seems to be sporting another very smart sweater) and them both planning what to grow in the allotment.
The Bunny Maker is overwhelmed - raising bunnies is very challenging. Some of them are so unruly. Gardener was always so dedicated to her gardening studies so it is wonderful to see her going on to do something like this. Autumn is approaching so we hope that she will enlist Biddle's help with the digging!

Bunnies headin' out ...

It is always exciting when bunnies are setting off to their new homes and today is no exception.
Tippy and Eric have just been tucked into their traveling boxes and will be treading the post office trail later on today ...

Safe journey, little bunnies!

Shadow meets Princess Bunchy.

Last week Shadow Sockbunny was posted off to live with Pomona and her family at their fabulous home in Kent. The bunnies were reading her blog for ages and ages, all about how they grow their own vegetables, keep pigs and chickens, make beautiful preserves and other evocative and enviable practices. They were very, very jealous of the gorgeous orchard - how wonderful to hop and bounce through!
(The Bunny Maker was very interested to read that B&B was available there too..)
Shadow was destined to belong to a certain Princess Bunchy - a name everyone here has instantly fallen in love with! She sent us this message:

Dear Widget ,
When I came back from school today I had such a such a lovely surprise - a little box had arrived for me in the post, and out popped Shadow! Shadow has made some nice new friends and they have been playing hide and seek in the garden. Here are the pictures for you to see.
Lots of love
Princess Bunchy

And some great pictures...

Shadow is sunbathing with his new friends!

Playing Hide and Seek!

Everyone here is hoping that Pomona, Shadow and Princess Bunchy keep in touch and The Bunny Maker is hoping that Mr Bunny Maker might quite fancy a stay at the B&B - Rifleman Cottage!

NEW BUNNIES HIT THE ROAD

Sunny, Warmer and Climber are all off to new homes! The two latter are off to the US of A together.

Good luck little bunnies, we all hope to hear from you soon!

Is it love?

"Issabow!" Murky gasped, "I've been waiting for you all my life!"
"Me too, Murky," she whispered, "Me too."

The Meeting .....

Murky is very very confused ..... a package came in the post and it was addressed to him. Inside was a pretty package with a picture of a Meerkat on it. His heart skipped a beat - could this be from the strange 'NiftyKnits' store that lives inside The Bunny Maker's computer?
"It can't be ....." he exclaimed.

He very carefully untied the ribbon, pulled back the tissue and gasped as some familiar objects rolled out of the folds....

'Could it be?......', he whispered. Inside was the little lovelorn Meerkat that he has been so longing to meet. She was wearing her most beautiful scarf and carrying her extra-special handbag. Both of them stood silently for a very long time, staring into each others eyes ......

To be continued .........

The Continuing Tale .....

Crisis point has been reached. Murky has not left the keyboard for days. The Bunny Maker managed to pursuade him to clear all the flowers off it so she could actually get some work done but he is still getting in the way. He has now found his way to Niftyknits' Shop on Folksy and is nose to nose with the listing for her.

The Bunny Maker has had enough but, unbeknown to Murky, she had a plan. A few words with NiftyKnits and the listing had been reserved. She then emptied her closely guarded Marmite money jar ..............

....... and bought the little, lovelorn Meerkat for Murky.
Now all they both had to do was to wait.

The Warren wonders what to do ...

After yesterday Murky is still to be found on The Bunny Makers laptop. He was there all night. The bunnies brought him sandwiches and cake, which he did nibble at, but he hasn't really eaten for the last 8 hours.
This morning he was found wielding a pair of craft pliers dangerously near the computer screen.

He was very, very upset and after calming him down it was discovered that he'd seen the latest post on NiftyKnits' blog. It seems that the lonely Meerkat, who has so captured his attention, is being courted by another suitor! All the bunnies crowded round and it was decided that her head actually had been photo-shopped onto the other picture. Murky was not to be comforted.
There wasn't much else to say so The Bunny Maker left him pining at the screen and went out to do some chores.

When she came back this is what she found .....

Murky was reading about the different outfits she had being trying on to try and make herself prettier in hope of finding love.
"She's beautiful," he sighed. "I just like her in that purple dress that I first saw her in, she doesn't need anything else."

The laptop being covered in a shrine of plastic flowers clogging up the keyboard is not very helpful, even irritating. The Bunny Maker is starting to wonder if she ought to let this little lonely meerkat know that she has already caught the imagination of someone.
"She could do worse than Murky," she said, quietly to herself.

Something needed to be done.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR ...

The Warren heartstrings underwent a tugging last week. Good friend Niftyknits posted about her little girl Meerkat who was lonely and looking for love.

Everyone read the post and there were quite a few sniffs and sobs from the back row. After a while Snake, being a bit insensitive, decided that decided that lunch was in order.
After a mad rush of bunnies, doggies, mice and monkeys the workroom was empty ... almost.

Murky didn't go for lunch, or tea, or dinner. Instead he was still to be found staring at the screen well into the night.....

Little Spotty is a busy bun!

One of The Warren's top penpals is Little Spotty who went to live in Holland with the lovely Tessa. Tessa also bought Neon Bunny who she then gave to a friend. Neon Bunny is also very good at staying in touch! The other day we got another email from Little Spot ....
Hello Bunnies!
Here is an e-mail from your friend who lives in The Netherlands!
I love living with Tessa, I've got nice friends, I can see Neon and Tessa takes me with her when she goes outside.
A few days ago she took me to a very big museum in The Hague. But before we went, Tessa packet her camera bag.

She let me sit in that bag next to the camera as you can see in the pictures. She also let me take a picture of her but unfortunately I forgot to take of the cap of the camera lens, so the picture is all black. Tessa told me that I might get my own little camera! In the museum I saw some beautiful things. There was painting with a lot of pink. Exact the same pink as me! Also I saw a very famous painting called Victory Boogie Woogie painted by Mondriaan. Tessa told me that he is a very famous painter.

Also I've seen some sculptures made of glass. I hopped out of Tessa's bag and I posted with the sculptures. When Tessa saw that, she laughed and told me that I'm not a really a museum object.

I had a wonderful time! When we went home I heard Tessa saying something about going to a zoo..........

Lots of love from
Little Spotty and Tessa

Woof Woof!

There are always comings and goings at The Warren and today was no exception. Jeremy Beagle was very excited when this parcel arrived because he felt sure he recognized the handwriting. Not only that, he could hear a muffled woofing coming from inside.
Everyone gathered round to help with The Opening.

Jeremy said the parcel was from Hotdog and Me, and he was right! Inside was a typically lusciously wrapped present with extra sparkly button.
"Oooooo preeeeettty", said everyone.

Inside Jeremy found Bones! I can't tell you how pleased he was. Bones was a little dizzy from the journey but some nuzzling from Jeremy made him feel better.

Bones had also brought some goodies with him; a smart pair of socks (for The Bunny Maker) and some tasty doggy treats. Wisely these were not pear drops because everyone knows what happened to the last bag!

Jeremy took Bones out and about to show him 'things'. They didn't get very far as they had so much news to catch up on.

The Bunny Maker thinks that Bones is possibly the cutest thing she has seen (which is upsetting quite a few bunnies, dogs, mice etc) and keeps whisking him away to snuggle and chat to him. Jeremy thinks this is very annoying and Nosey Mouse isn't best pleased either as it used to be her little button nose that received all the attention.
Jeremy is even less amused because he has just been told that he is looking a little grubby and might have to have a wash and brush up! He has been very loved, and somewhat carted around and could do with a clean. He is going to be hard to catch!
